It’s Scary Out There! Be Aware!

A couple of weeks after I launched this Facebook page, I received a message on Facebook claiming that the page was about to be shut down due to a copyright violation. The message looked official—it even included a link to appeal the decision, saying that if I didn’t respond, the page would be taken down. My heart sank. Since it appeared to come from Facebook, I panicked.

But once I took a breath and looked a little closer, I realized something was off. The message wasn’t from an official Facebook email address—it had actually been sent through Messenger. That’s when it hit me: it was a scam. Fortunately, I didn’t click the link.
